Mission Statement
To provide technical and administrative support for the development of ADOT’s program through project design, and through procurement of construction, and through engineering services.

The Engineering Technical Group is a diverse organization consisting of 100 Full Time Positions and supported by a variety of consultant contract staff, all under the direction of an Assistant State Engineer. The Engineering Technical Group is comprised of a small administrative staff and three Sections. The Sections perform both engineering and administrative roles in the support of the mission and goals of the Department. The Sections are: Contracts and Specifications; Utility and Railroad Engineering; and Engineering Survey.

Core Business Functions
Survey by air and on land, provide flight operations services, procure construction services, coordinate the Department’s relationship with utility companies and railroads.
